Ohio Center for the Book and several other Cleveland Public Library branches are celebrating the day with free comics, movies, activities, and CAKE!
Join the Ohio Center for the Book for these films that celebrate the spirit of FCBD.
The following two film screenings take place in the Main Library, 2nd Floor, Literature Department on May 5th.
Spider-Man: Homecoming @ 12pm
Peter Parker balances his life as an ordinary high school student in Queens with his superhero alter-ego Spider-Man, and finds himself on the trail of a new menace prowling the skies of New York City. Directed by Jon Watts; writers: Jonathan Goldstein, with screenplay by, John Francis Daley.
Comic Book Confidential @ 2:30pm
This 1988 documentary explores the history of comic books in America from the 1930s to the 1980s. A survey of the artistic history of the comic book medium and some of the major talents associated with it. Directed by Ron Mann, writers Charles Lippincott and Ron Mann.
