Do you have a favorite book—one that moved you, inspired you, and had a direct impact on your life? Yours, and the favorite book of many others, might be the best-loved book in America. Last month, the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) launched the special premier episode of the “The Great American Read,” where it was revealed the list of the 100 most-loved books in America. The launch special (available to watch online) was the first in the series that includes both television and online episodes. Designed to spark a national conversation about reading, the eight-part t.v. series, airing on PBS stations across the nation on Tuesdays, beginning September 11, 2018, 8:00 p.m. EST (see schedule), features testimonials from notable Americans to include celebrities, authors–and book lovers from across the country. The grand finale airs Tuesday, October 23, 2018, 8:00 p.m. EST, during which the results of nationwide voting to choose America’s best-loved book are announced. Voting is now open and closes October 18, 2018. There are many ways to vote; here’s how you can do it.
