A graphic memoir from Frank “Big Black” Smith, a prisoner at Attica State Prison in 1971, whose rebellion against the injustices of the prison system remains one of the bloodiest civil rights confrontations in America.

For Persepolis and Logicomix fans, a New Yorker cartoonist’s page-turning graphic biography of the fascinating Hannah Arendt, the most prominent philosopher of the twentieth century.


Thursday, February 2 – 6:30 pm – Tiananmen 1989: Our Shattered Hopes by Lun Zhang and Adrien Gombeaud

Follow the story of China’s infamous June Fourth Incident – otherwise known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre – from the first-hand account of a young sociology teacher who witnessed it all.
