Saturday, June 24 – 2pm at Cleveland Public Library’s downtown Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium
Join us in celebrating the completion of the Poem for Cleveland project with Cleveland Heights Poet Laureate, Ray McNiece, and his team of young poets along with the contributors who added their voices to the story of Cleveland this past year in poetry that bridges cultures, generations, and neighborhoods.
The event will include a reception beforehand followed by an intergenerational reading in Cleveland Public Library’s Louis Stokes Wing Auditorium with the poets being backed up with music by the band Tongue In Groove.
The Ohio Center for the Book and Heights Arts are sponsoring this special celebration.
Poem for Cleveland, an anthology of the works created from the project, will be published by Red Giant Press.
This project is made possible by the Academy of American Poets with funds from the Mellon Foundation.
