Join us in celebrating Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) this year!
Started in 2002, FCBD is coordinated by Diamond Comics Distributors, the comic book industry’s single largest distributor in North America. Titles are selected from publishers with the goal of showcasing the wide range of options that comics have to offer as well as of attracting new readers to independent comic book stores. This national event happens annually on the first Saturday of May.
There are fun activities and FREE comic books (while supplies last!) at multiple Cleveland Public Library branches as well as at our home base at the downtown Main Library. Attending in your favorite comics character costume is encouraged but not required!
Here at our Ohio Center for the Book homebase at Cleveland Public Library’s Main Library, we’ll have free comic books, coloring sheets, “create your own comic” templates along with markers to use! Stop by the Literature Department on the second floor!
