Born in 1969, Tracie Vaughn Zimmer and her identical twin sister, Trish grew up in West Chester, Ohio, where three generations of her family still reside. Vaughn Zimmer majored in Special Education at The Ohio State University earning a B.A. and received her master’s degree in reading from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). She lived in Virginia where she wrote her first book, Sketches from a Spy Tree, in 2005 and North Carolina for several years before returning to her Ohio hometown. Zimmer lives with her two children near Cincinnati and teaches at her alma mater in the Lakota Local School District.
